For two weeks before school begins, INSPIRITAS Scholars experience an important orientation and cultural immersion comprised of testing & academic preparation, college tours, field trips, fun activities like going to the beach, and getting acquainted with American culture. You will also meet your INSPIRITAS Student Ambassadors, who are American high school students who will help you make the cultural transition to the school year. It is an opportunity to practice your English, with a lot of help, before you begin your homestay and classwork. It is also our first opportunity to get to know you in person and better understand how to support your success.
During this time, you will begin to develop a network of relationships with other INSPIRITAS Scholars. Developing lifelong friendships, both with Scholars and Ambassadors, is a valuable part of your year in the US.
